Horseback riding costa rica
horseback riding costa rica

Just 15 minutes away from downtown Quepos, on a beautiful, privately owned, working cattle ranch, in the small village of Naranjito is where your horseback riding adventure will start.

At your arrival to our stables, our bilingual guides will choose the ideal horse for each of our guests, depending on their riding abilities and experience. The owners of the company are horse lovers, so they have personally hand picked all the horses for this tour. We have only the best Costa Rican Paso Fino Horses, all of them strong and healthy; and we have just enough of them so when a horse is used on the morning tour, it can rest on the afternoon.

After a short explanation on riding, safety instructions and a small description of the tour, you will start your ride through the 1,000 stunning acres of the property. One of the things that set our tour appart from the rest of the horseback riding tours in the area is that you will traverse many types of terrain on your safari... from a gentle ride on cattle pastures, to a more adventureous one on primary rainforest, up and down creeks, and onto african palm and tropical fruit plantations. And all this in the safety of a private property, not the public roads.

You will then reach our resting place where you will have a chance to eat some fruits, drink some water and jump on a natural pond in the river that runs through the farm. Here at the heart of the jungle our visitors will have the chance to spot many types of animals such as the titi monkeys, anteaters, foxes, coatis, and toucans.

After a 15 to 20 minute break you will start your way back to the stables, on a completely different route. During all the journey your guides, all bilingual experienced horsemen, will share the secrets of the the Costa Rican countryside with you.
